Why Kitchen to Ward Was Born

During these unprecedented times, the coronavirus has impacted the lives of everyone in the US. In multiple states, limited equipment, brimming capacity, and overworked staff unfortunately still remain the norm for many healthcare centers, during the COVID-19 crisis well after the US crossed its peak in daily cases. Meanwhile, restaurants in particular are one of the hardest-hit businesses as a result of the nationwide quarantine. We've created a platform to tackle both issues simultaneously, keeping restaurants in business and ensuring that healthcare workers, regardless of financial background, do not have to worry about making or buying their next meal and can focus better on aiding patients dependent on their expertise.

DOnating Meals is Easy!
  1. Choose A LOCATION AND healthcare center
  2. Select a Meal request slot with The Specified date and time
  3. Confirm your Donation
How it Works

Donors can address meal requests of healthcare workers and other hospital staff by making a donation on a hospital's signup page.

We will use 100% of their contribution to order meals from a local restaurant and have them delivered to the partnering hospital.

Instead of making a general donation, donors know exactly when the meals will be delivered, and which hospital ward or section the request comes from.

About Us

Created by a high school junior, Aayush Kabra, stuck at home listening to the barrage of negativity on the news during quarantine, Kitchen to Ward is a grassroots movement to leave a positive impact in a community afflicted by the coronavirus. Run by himself and other high-school friends, Kitchen to Ward aims to ensure that our brave and selfless healthcare workers in the front line are well-fed while local restaurants remain in business.  Aayush is a an Eagle Scout and is familiar with giving back to the community, whether it be participating in food drives, Eagle projects in public schools, or other service projects.
